Most of you folks haven’t heard about Lexmaul. Well, Lexmaul is a tuning house specialised in customizing German vehicles. The latest work of the tuner is the Golf V GTI tuning kit.
The kit consists in new side sills, re-designed rear bumper with integrated double exhaust system and black painted alloy wheels. The surprise of the tuner is at the engine! Due to the ECU tweaking the engine is capable to develop 248 hp while for the Golf GTI Edition 30 the engine develops 308 hp and 395 Nm pf torque! No words about the price yet!
Newing, a well respected Japanese tuning company known for the stylish bodykits built especially for Vw cars. Newing unveiled its latest masterpiece baset on the
Vw Golf GTI, the GTI RSR. The RSR bodykit consists in a nice set of 20” alloy wheels, carbon front lip, rear roof spoiler, double exhaust system and new suspension kit. Also, the side skirts of the car include side sills built in order to cool the rear brakes. For the interior the tuner choosed new custom sport buckets that add a plus of sportivity to the car.

Maybe not all of you knew, but 25 years ago the iconic Golf GTI Pirelli edition was launched in the UK. The car feature as you figured Pirelli tyres but especially the ‚P’ alloy wheels. Today it seems that the German manufacturer choosed to rewrite the history by launching the 2008 Vw Golf GTI Pirelli edition in the UK.
The new vehicle features the 2.0-litre FSI engine used on the „standard” GTI but which has been upgraded from 200 to 230hp making possible the sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 7.2 seconds and the top speed close to 240 km/h. To make the care more stable 18” alloy wheels were added with a set of 225/40 R18 Pirelli P-Zero tyres!

Hofele, the innovative company in the product-range of car-accessories especially for German manufacturers like Audi and VW, recently unveiled the Hofele-Design-Edition kit for the Golf GTI.
Using only high-tech accessories and super light materials developed in order to define the elegance of the Hofele Brand the Golf GTI kit features a front bumper with 2 big air intakes, sideskirts fitted as well with two air intakes, but also a rear apron to use with sports muffler.
To increase the power of the vehicle Hofele also used 4 tube sports muffler. Featuring four oval tail pipes the exhaust system is suitable for the well-known 2.0 FSI Turbo engine but, according to the manufacture, this is possible only mounted in combination with the rear apron.
The staff at US motoring magazine “Car and Driver” (January 2008 issue) have chosen the Golf GTI as one of the “2008 10Best Cars”. The GTI had already made a return to this list last year — following an absence of 21 years — and has now successfully defended its place in 2008.
